Extra Virgin Mojito Mocktail

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Place mint leaves and lime juice in a glass and muddle them together. Muddling = mushing them up and crushing the leaves to release the flavour and oils the mint. Use a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon. Or a set of brass knuckles. To each their own

  • Add the honey

  • Add the sparkling water

  • Garnish with lime slices, a sprig of mint!

HOLISTIC HEALTH HACK

  • I love to add in a few berries (fresh or frozen) for extra colour, yumminess and a boost of antioxidants! You can throw in raspberries, strawberries or blueberries

  • You can add a little honey for taste if you like, especially if you are still getting used to “no sweet” taste, however, I always make mine without and you will probably find that you remove the honey yourself eventually!

Thyme is a popular herb used as a seasoning in cooking. It adds a wonderful mild flavour to meat, chicken, fish, vegetables, and salads. But did you know that you can also make thyme tea?

 INSTRUCTIONS

  • Add the dried herb to a teapot and pour in the boiled water

  • Let the thyme steep for 5-10 minutes

  • Thyme tea is not only delicious, but it also has antifungal, antiviral, and preservative properties. Thyme tea tastes great on its own and you can also add a slice of ginger, lemon, and a little bit of honey to the tea

  • Cold thyme tea can be infused with different fruits. Just add some apple or peach slices to the cold thyme tea for a refreshing drink

  • Apple cider vinegaris one of my almost daily go to drink and a must have in your kitchen (remember you will need it for your bone broth). Some of the health benefits of apple cider vinegar are as follows:
